Danny Turkiewicz was born in Long Island, New York in 1994. He graduated Emerson College in 2016 where he studied film directing. He currently lives in LA where he works as a freelance writer and director. 

Danny wrote and directed the short film, I Am Michael Jordane (2015). The film went on to win the audience choice award at the Ivy Film Festival, the biggest student run film festival in the world. It also won best comedy at the Harvard Film Festival and was an official selection at the Las Vegas International Film Festival and The National Film Festival For Talent Youth (NFFTY).

Eighty-Sixed, a web series Danny directed, written by Cazzie David and Elisa Kalani, premiered on Complex Magazine in April 2017. Indiewire included Eighty-Sixed in the Ten Best Web Series of 2017.

Evil Woman, a dark comedy short film Danny wrote and directed premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival. It went on to receive numerous awards at festivals around the world including Toronto International Short Film Festival and LA Comedy Festival. 

The Moon, a political satire short film, premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival 2019. The film had its online premiere on Film Shortage later that year.

The short film, Blue Creek Mountain, written and directed by Danny premiered online on Film Shortage June 2022.

Danny is currently in post production of his feature film debut, Stealing Pulp Fiction. Based on the short film of the same name.
